Follow Your Dreams

I remember when i was little i used to always say to myself follow your dreams & don't let anyone stop you & never give up hope but when i look back & think i see that i'm not following my dreams like i'm suppose to i'm just giving up when i should be trying again & again until i get to where i want to get in life.

Child Labour

In  the normal lives of families with steady and adequate incomes, parents go to work every day and children are left to play with friends and go to school. However, such is not the case for the 218 million child labourers around the world who daily find themselves working long hours under harsh, dangerous and exploitative conditions.

They are everywhere but invisible, toiling as domestic servants in homes, labouring behind the walls of workshops, hidden from view in plantations.......

FACTS:

• 73 million working children are less than 10 years old.

• Every year, 22,000 children die in work-related accidents.

• The largest number of working children-122 million-are in the Asia-Pacific region.

• 8.4 million children are trapped in slavery, trafficking, debt bondage, prostitution, pornography and other illicit activities

What you need to know!

"It was like a prison, we were locked inside. We worked from 5 a.m. until midnight making carpets and we slept among the machines." - Kumar, child labourer

Some Causes of Child Labour:-

-Poverty-Inadequate school facilities-Family size-Immoral employers

Why we should care?

"Our greatest natural resource is the minds of our children."- Walt Disney----------------------------------------------------------"The change starts within each one of us, and ends only when all children are free to be children.”– Craig Kielburger
